The ROCK
Welcome
This is the website of the ROCK: the Reproducible Open Coding Kit.
The ROCK is a standard for encoding qualitative data in both a human- and machine-readable format.
This website is a hub for ROCK-related resources.
The ROCK book
The ROCK book describes the standard, and is available at rockbook.org.
The ROCK workshops
There are a number of ROCK workshops, often designed to be usable “on their own” too:
- A 2-hour ROCK workshop, available at rock.science/workshop/2hr.
- A 3-hour ROCK workshop, available at rock.science/workshop/3hr.
- A 2-hour ROCK and ENA workshop, available at rock.science/workshop/2hr/ena
The ROCK tutorials
At present, there are two tutorials about the ROCK:
- a ROCK book chapter
- an open access article available at doi.org/jrfb
The {rock}
R package
The ROCK is implemented in the {rock}
R package (see rock.opens.science for the documentation), in the rudimentary first version of an interface for the ROCK, iROCK, and a more advanced graphical user interface is under development.
